According to the manufacturer, the upcoming model will ride on a new MLA platform that will bring a lot of changes. We must mention that until now, this SUV has been rolled on the old D7 platform that is also used on the Defender model. However, the new one is durable and is made to handle electric and hybrid systems.
From the latest information, the next-gen SUV will be built at Land Rover’s plant in Solihull, United Kingdom. This model will be powered by a turbocharged inline-6 powertrain that is connected to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

At first look, there are many similarities with the previous model. However, the new model is refreshed and dimensionally is eight inches longer than the current model. Also, the new-generation comes with slightly less boxier shape and a wider grille. The wheel arches look more noticeable as the new headlight system that looks similar to the Defender model. More Luxurious Cabin

However, the turbocharged inline-6 powertrain and 48-volt mild-hybrid system powers the new 2022 Land Rover Range Rover. Thanks to this combination, this model delivers outputs of 355 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. If one needs more power, he can go for the sportier P400 model that produces 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration is also good, and this model runs from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
Production and Price
The recently spied 2022 Land Rover Range Rover reveals more changes than before and a long-wheelbase variant. It is eight inches longer than the previous model.
According to the manufacturer, the production will start at the plant in Solihull. As for the release date, we can expect this SUV sometime next year. Price is still early to predict, but we can suppose more details soon.
