The carmaker is working on the high-performance version of the Land Rover Discovery model. And it is going to be the all-new 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX. The new Discovery SVX will be powered by a strong V-8 engine with more than 500 horses and will come with standard full-time AWD system. It will seat seven as the standard model and will get some unique design cues such as Orange Rush contrast stitching and unique SVX logo.
2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX powertrain and performance
Beneath the hood of the 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX will be placed the strongest unit offered in the lineup. It is the well-known 5.0-liter V-8 supercharged engine. This unit has the output of 518 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Its top speed will be limited to 155 mph. Furthermore, it will also come with full-size all-wheel drive system and Terrain Response 2 system.
The design of exterior and interior
When it comes to exterior design, the new 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX will be revised and the most significant changes will be visible on the front and rear bumpers. So, the bumpers will be revised and will be placed higher which will make to climbing through the rocks much easier. As well, they will get bright accents so as the wheels and fender vents. Furthermore, the new Discovery SVX will ride on the 20-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels and will come with an optional Trailer Tow package. Moreover, the carmaker has introduced the new Rush Orange color which will be seen on bumpers and wheels too.
As well, the upcoming 2020 Land Rover Discovery SVX will come with a new exterior color shade called Tectonic Grey while the Narvik Black color will be used on the front grille and side vents. The rails and LED off-road lights will be fitted with silver.
Although the interior of the 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX will remain majorly unchanged except some small upgrades which will give it a more premium look and feel. First of all, it will receive a new pistol-grip shifter which is also used in the Jaguar Land Rover lineup. As before, it will come with three rows of seats and will be able to welcome up to seven passengers. However, with all seats in the place, there is a limited cargo room which measures 9.1 cubic feet. Furthermore, the seats will be upholstered in leather in grey and tan color and will get Rush Orange contrast stitching. As well, the front seats will feature the SVX logo in the upper seatbacks. The Orange Rush color will also be visible on the floor mats and door panels.
Release date and price of the 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX
The carmaker still hasn’t revealed the information about the arrival of the new 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX. But we are expecting it very soon. The price is not yet announced also. However, based on our predictions, it could easily reach the price of around $75,000.
