The mid-size 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S crossover-coupe is getting overhauled for the following year. From the latest images released by Mercedes, we can see many refreshments and updates. The newest SUV looks sporty and the most significant changes are mechanical. On top of that, some interior and exterior tweaks are visible, and the high-performance SUV features the new (MBUX) infotainment suite. Besides that, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S is powered by the same powertrain that is seen under the AMG GT and S-Class models.
The outgoing 5.5-liter unit is replaced with the new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. If we compare it to the old one, the new SUV has about 25 horses more.
2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Exterior
The upcoming 2021 GLE 63 S Coupe is based on the regular GLE-Class. However, the high-performance variant gets some changes and it rides on an updated architecture, which is shared with the larger GLS model. Design is more aggressive and we like its bulky look. The AMG treatment will add unique styling and the new model features vertical-bar “Panamericana” grille and the lower front fascia that incorporates large air intakes.

It also provides brake regeneration and a coasting function, and it stops and starts the engine seamlessly. Acceleration is great and AMG GLE 63 S runs from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Moreover, top speed is electronically limited to 174 mph.
Price and Release Date
The all-new 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S is the sporty SUV that looks mean and powerful. According to some websites, the upcoming model will not be a cheap SUV, but it’s the price you pay to have it all. This model will start at $113,950, and it will hit dealers this fall.
