Besides the, most likely, new grille, the new Land Rover will get a completely revised front and rear fascias and a major overhaul of its cabin. Under its hood, there will be stronger unit and a hybrid engine finally.

According to the latest news, 2021 Land Rover Discovery and Discovery Sport will return with the same engine options as before but this time should be slightly stronger. As well, we can also expect some kind of hybridization and perhaps it could get a plug-in hybrid engine.
So, the Discovery SUV will get the same 3.0-liter V-6 supercharged engine which is able to make 340 horses and 332 pound-feet of torque. The second is a 3.0-liter V-6 turbocharged diesel engine which is capable of making 254 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Both engine will work with an 8-speed automatic transmission and will come standard with all-wheel drive system.
Sport model:
The Discovery Sport will offer a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 which in the current model can produce 237 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. However, in the 2021 version it should be able to make 246 hp. This same unit has the output of 286 hp and the torque of 295 lb-ft in the higher trim levels. Both engines will work with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and will have all-wheel drive as the default setup. Furthermore, we can also expect a mild-hybrid engine which will combine the same 2.0-liter which will be able to deliver 296 hp.
