The all-new 2020 Lincoln MKC has been spied during its testing and should bring a range of changes. So, first of all, the new MKC should be renamed and it will be called the Corsair. Visually, it will get new styling and will be very similar to the Navigator model. So, we can expect changes in both front and rear fascias. The engines will remain the same but it could get a new plug-in hybrid engine too.
Powertrain and performance of the 2020 Lincoln MKC
The 2020 Lincoln MKC will offer a choice of two engines beneath its hood like the current model. So, the one option is going to be a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine. This unit will be capable of making 245 horses and 275 lb-ft of torque. It will be linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission and the front-wheel-drive system will be standard. However, the carmaker will also offer an all-wheel-drive configuration. The FWD model will get 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive variant will get 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
The second unit is a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4. This engine will be able to develop 280 hp and the torque of 305 pound-feet. It will also use a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the all-wheel drive layout will be standard. It will be rated at 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Its maximum towing capacity will be 3,000 pounds.
The exterior and interior design of the 2020 Lincoln MKC
The newest 2020 Lincoln MKC, or to say, the future Corsair has been spotted under the heavy camouflage, but we were able to see some changes which it will bring this time. So, the new upcoming MKC will get a slightly revised styling which will be much inspired by the Navigator model. Therefore, we can expect new design of the front fascia with new LED headlamps and simpler hood lines. We have also noticed a new opening o the driver front side fender which leads to a conclusion that the new Lincoln might also be offered with a plug-in hybrid engine. Furthermore, the rear end will get the new taillights which are very similar to those found on the Aviator model.
The interior of the 2020 Lincoln MKC will look elegant and luxurious and will be made of premium materials and equipped with many modern features. The dashboard will be fitted with an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. All the seats are cozy and supportive and the maximum cargo space measures 53.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
