The batch of new spy shots reveals that the upcoming 2022 Lincoln Navigator will introduce only subtle changes on the outside. This famous SUV has been caught testing recently, featuring new fascia’s at both ends and a revised grille.

However, it isn’t clear what Lincoln has planned for the powertrains, but many rumors indicate that it will get the same hybrid introduced in the F-150 PowerBoost. This system combines a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 with an electric motor, delivering meaty 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. Besides, the spied Lincoln Navigator’s interior is boosted, and Lincoln has added a much larger infotainment screen.

As we mentioned, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator has been spied testing recently with some subtle changes on the outside. Unlike its predecessor, the new Navigator looks more attractive but dimensionally unchanged. First of all, the spy photos suggest new fascia’s at both ends and a revised grille.

However, the side profile remains mostly the same, with the recognized Navigators’ 20-inch wheels. On the back, we didn’t manage to see changes because the rear end is fully camouflaged.

Perhaps the most exciting news is the updated 2022 Lincoln Navigator’s cabin. For the first time, the photographers managed to take some images on the inside. At first glance, we noticed that Lincoln had added a much larger infotainment screen than the currents 10-inch.

The new screen features a horizontal orientation, which is opposite that we saw on the recently updated Expedition. The buyers can also expect more comfortable seats, standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, six USB ports, wi-fi, and a high-end 16-speaker Revel audio system.

Safety

Safety features of the new 2022 Lincoln Navigator will mostly remain unchanged. This SUV features Lincoln Co-Pilot360, including forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance, automatic high beams, front/rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and a washer for the rearview camera.

The current Navigator is available exclusively with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that generates 450 hp and 510 lb-ft. Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to see the powerful V-8 option to match the new Escalade. Moreover, from many gossips, the next-generation Navigator may borrow the same hybrid system recently introduced in the F-150 PowerBoost model.
