Cadillac’s full-size 3-row luxury SUV, the Escalade, enters its sixth generation. The all-new 2022 Cadillac Escalade is arriving, and it should represent a huge technological leap compared to the current generation. For 2022, the most selling SUV will feature a greater cabin with the same seating layout as its predecessor. The current one offers seating for up to eight, with comfort in all three rows. To ensure that every passenger enjoys the ride, the manufacturer added more standard amenities.
However, like the outgoing version, the new one is powered by the same two engine options. The base Escalade uses a 6.2-liter V8 engine, while a 3.0-liter turbodiesel six-cylinder is offered on upper trims.

Under the hood, the forthcoming 2022 Cadillac Escalade will use a 6.2-liter V8 engine that is standard on all trims. This engine is potent, and it produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, the entry-level model is available with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Primary thanks to this V8 powertrain, the Escalade can tow up to 8,200 pounds.
Besides this engine, Cadillac also offers a 3.0-liter turbodiesel six-cylinder engine that generates 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Release Date and Price
The new 2022 Cadillac Escalade will arrive at dealers this fall to compete with models in the same segment like Chevy Suburban, Lincoln Navigator, and BMW X7. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but surely expect a slight increase over the previous model.
The current Cadillac Escalade cost $77,490 for the base trim before options. However, the upper trims like Premium Luxury Platinum and Sports Platinum start little less than $100k.
