Besides great design, the new 2021 Hyundai Kona offers a vast number of engines. There will be precisely three engine options, two gasoline and one electric. The base model will use the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 147 horsepower. This engine will use a 6-speed automatic transmission and the front-wheel-drive system as standard.

Furthermore, going up for optional trims Limited and Ultimate buyers will get a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 unit that generates 175 hp. This version will be available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Battery recharging takes about 9.5 hours on a 240-volt Level II charger. However, there is also a Level III Quick charge stations that can recharge the battery to 80 percent capacity in just 54 minutes. The estimated range is impressive 258 miles.
