2020 Seat Taracco PHEV Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show

The Spanish manufacturer has just revealed the new 2020 Seat Taracco at the Frankfurt moto show. Besides great design, the new model has been joined to the plug-in hybrid segment. According to the officials, the upcoming SUV is featuring under its hood a 1.4-liter TSI engine along with an 85kW electric motor.

This combination will be paired with the powerful 13kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Thanks to the configuration above, the new flagship SUV will be able to hit from 0-62 mph in just 7.4 seconds. Also, alongside the PHEV model, the manufacturer will introduce a few more engines.

After the great success with the models Ateca and Arona, the manufacturer has introduced the new seven-seater SUV 2020 Seat Taracco. The upcoming model will be a threat to many SUVs on the market. This will include models like Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, Land Rover’s Discovery Sport and the new Peugeot 5008.

According to the latest news, this model will be available in two trims SE and Xcellence. Design is attractive and the front end will dominate with the stylish grill and hood with sports lines. The upcoming SUV will be also equipped with the adaptive suspension, LED headlights, attractive 19-inch wheels, and rear spoiler. Dimensionally, this model is 4735mm long and 1658mm tall.

The cabin of the newest 2020 Seat Taracco model will be competitive and techy. As we already mentioned, this model comes with three rows of seats and there is enough space for seven passengers.

The dash will dominate thanks to the use of premium materials and a new big 9.2-inch touchscreen display. Also, the customers will get great designed electric sports bucket seats and the newly designed steering wheel. Cargo space is also good and this model offers up to 700 liters folding down the third row of seats. However, with all seats folded down space will open 2000 liters.

As we already wrote, the 2020 Seat Taracco model will join the plug-in segment. Besides the PHEV model, under the hood, Taracco SUV will be offered with few engine options. The first one that powers this SUV is 1.5-liter petrol that produces 148 HP and is paired to the six-speed manual gearbox, sending twist to the front axle.

Next one and stronger is a 2.0-liter engine that delivers 188 HP. This model comes with the all-wheel-drive system as standard and it`s connected to the seven-speed DSG transmission. Diesel options will be also on the offer. Under this model is lying a 2.0-liter engine that makes around 150 HP and is available with the AWD system. The diesel engine from the latest rating is able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.0 sec. Furthermore, it tops a maximum speed of 130mph.

The most attention on the show is taken by the PHEV model. This variant will come with a 1.4-liter TSI engine and 85kW electric motor. According to the officials this model, thanks to the combination above will deliver a total of 241 HP. It comes with powerful 13kWh lithium-ion battery pack and according to the manufacturer, this model can travel 31 miles or 50 km on all-electric driving. Also, it will accelerate to 62 mph in just 7.4 seconds and max out 135 mph or 217 km/h.

Details are scant at time of writing, however, we can expect the new 2020 Seat Taracco PHEV to be released sometime at the end of this year. The price is not yet revealed, but we can expect more details very soon.
