2023 Infiniti QX80: Monograph, Redesign, Price, Interior, Release Date, Colors

Infiniti’s full-size SUV has been around for a very long time. The current generation was introduced back in 2011 but it looks like the Japanese manufacturer doesn’t plan a full redesign in the near future. From what we know so far, the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will be a typical carryover model, with minor updates only. We could see updates in terms of a few additions to the list of standard equipment, or maybe a new color option. Other than that, things will remain the same.

That means that you may count on a familiar design and features. Despite being old, this SUV still has a couple of good things to offer. We like its capable and great-sounding V8 engine, as well as a pretty intuitive infotainment system. The cargo area is quite spacious too, while you may also count on a decent off-road potential. On the other hand, the biggest complaints go to things like outdated interior design and poor fuel economy.

Since there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Infiniti QX80 Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will carry on in the same way. The current generation has been around for more than a decade but the SUV was updated a few years ago. For that occasion, we saw significant visual updates, which included a completely new styling, inspired by the Monograph concept. The vehicle looks very stylish and modern, even when compared to a much younger competition.

On the other hand, the mechanical aspect hasn’t changed much in these 11 years of production. Still, the ride quality is pretty good, offering a nice balance between comfort and athleticism. You may also count on decent off-road potential, considering that the SUV features 9.2 inches of ground clearance, while you can also opt for four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case etc.

Interior

Interior changes won’t happen either. We are about to see a familiar cabin layout, which offers great build quality. However, the dashboard looks a little bit outdated, which is no wonder if we consider the model’s age. Still, we should mention that the 2022 model received a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which makes the cabin look a little bit more attractive than before.

When it comes to passenger space and comfort, the front seats are excellent. This company traditionally makes some of the best seats in the industry, so it’s no wonder that those found in the QX80 are massive and supportive. The second row is also very generous with space and accommodates adults with ease. On the other hand, the third row isn’t that generous and works best for kids.

The cargo area offers around 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third-row seats, 49.6 cubic feet with these seats folded, and 95.1 cubic feet, which is pretty good for the segment, even though models like Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator offer way more.

Features

We don’t expect bigger changes in this aspect, so most of the things should remain the same. For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like a 12.3-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, wireless device charging, navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, HD Radio, satellite radio, a 13-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, four USB ports, keyless entry, push-button start, remote start, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a moonroof. Among upgrades, you can find a 17-speaker stereo and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 8-inch displays.

The same is with safety features. All models should come standard with goodies like front and rear parking sensors, surround-view camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams etc.

2023 Infiniti QX80 Engine

Under the hood, the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will carry on with a good-old 5.6-liter V8, which puts out around 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. It offers great driving dynamics, while the 7-speed automatic transmission also does a pretty good job.

Rear-wheel drive is standard, while you can opt for four-wheel drive. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 8.500 pounds.

Fuel Economy

While the V8 engine is pretty capable, it’s also quite thirsty. The standard RWD model returns around 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. The 4WD model is even thirstier and returns around 13 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. In both cases, we are talking about some of the lowest ratings in the class.

2023 Infiniti QX80 Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 72.000 dollars.
