The upcoming 2021 Nissan X-Trail/Rogue has been spied during the road tests in America, and the new model is covered all over with camo. However, some body parts are visible and from the images that we got, we can expect plenty of upgrades.
We must mention that the X-Trail is basically Rogue model for Europe and Asia. Also, these two models will depart, and both will bring their own unique style. Unfortunately, there is not much info about what will be changed under the hood of the new model. According to the rumors, both versions will keep the existing engines. However, there is also speculation that the manufacturer may add this year a hybrid system for both models.
2021 Nissan X-Trail Comes With The New Xmotion’s Taillights
The first spy shots are emerged and shows the more attractive look of the upcoming 2021 Nissan X-Trail model. As we already wrote at the beginning, the new model is caught testing with all body covered with camo. However, under the heavy camouflage, we can easily spot the new LED headlight system.
Like the new Qashqai, the X-Trail will provide an attractive design which incorporates Nissan’s ‘V-motion’ grille. The same grille is also seen on the Nissan Micra model. The rear-end has will also get some modifications. The Xmotion’s taillights are presented and it’s looking very subtle.
Cabin Features The New 7-Inch Infotainment System
After so many years of waiting, the manufacturer will redesign the cabin of the new 2021 Nissan X-Trail. From the inside, this SUV will look modern and we can expect numerous changes and upgrades. This will includes new upholstery, materials, better techs and a spacious cabin. As before, the X-Trail SUV comes with a great arranged cabin and three rows of seats. So, we can expect even more space this time. We must add that the current model offers ample space for seven passengers. Whatsoever, Nissan will introduce more standard equipment and more safety aids this time.
The infotainment system is up to date and some changes will happen on the dashboard. According to the rumors, the manufacturer will dump the old 5-inch display and add a bigger 7-inch unit. Also, the X-Trail model as the Rouge will be available with the new Nissan’s ProPilot autonomous driving tech that controls the “steering, acceleration and braking system. Also, new tech this year will include rear cross-traffic alert and upgraded autonomous emergency braking system.
2021 Nissan X-Trail Powertrain
At this moment there is no available info about the possible drivetrain changes. As we know the new Nissan X-Trail and Nissan Rogue will get two different outputs. The current Nissan Rogue model under its hood comes with a 2.5-liter, while the Rogue is available with 2.0-liter turbo-four engines.
According to the rumors, both these engines will be still available and the manufacturer will add a new hybrid system. From the same source comes the information that X-Trail Hybrid will be capable to deliver around 170 HP.
Price and Release Date
The all-new redesigned 2021 Nissan X-Trail will get a new design and many standard features. Unfortunately, there is still no clear info about engines.
From some gossip, the new SUV will cost more than its predecessor. The current model starts at $25,000. The 2021 Nissan X-Trail will be available in Europe and Asia sometime in 2020.
