2020 Nissan Murano: Redesign, Interior, Platinum

Known for its reliability, cozy cabin, and a long list of standard and optional equipment, the Nissan Murano manages to keep its high position on the list of highly popular SUVs. This time we will say a few words about the newest model year which will enter the dealerships as the 2020 Nissan Murano. The new Murano will most likely get some small yet noticeable changes and this time we might see a hybrid model as well.

Engine and performance of the 2020 Nissan Murano

Beneath the hood of every Murano is placed one engine option, and it is expected to be the same for the 2020 Nissan Murano. It is the 3.5-liter V-6 engine which is capable of producing 260 horsepower and the torque of 240 pound-feet. The engine is mated to the Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission. And it comes with a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. When it comes to fuel economy, the front-wheel drive model will get 21 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined. As well, the all-wheel drive variant is estimated to be the same. Furthermore, as for the towing capacities, the Nissan Murano is rated at 1,500 pounds.

On the other hand, it is still not clear whether the manufacturer will offer a hybrid engine as well. But it is very likely to happen.

The Murano also has front and rear spoilers.

On the other hand, the 2020 Nissan Murano is expected to get some small changes considering external appearance. And for a full redesign, we will have to wait for the 2021 or even a 2022 model year. So, this time the new Murano might get some small changes to the front fascia including new lighting and a revised bumper. It could also get restyled taillights and new wheels. As well, we can also expect a few more exterior color shades. The standard model will ride on the 18-inch wheels. And the higher trim levels will be offered with the larger 20-inch wheels.
