2021 Nissan Rogue Caught Testing, Spy Photos

The all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue also known as X-Trail on some markets, has been caught testing. From the spy shots, the third-gen Nissan Rogue looks bolder and aggressive. Moreover, most of the body parts have covered with camo.

Whatsoever, some images reveal changes, and the new Rogue/X-Trail model will feature a split headlight system that is also present on the Juke model. Under the hood, some changes will also happen and the 2021 Rogue will get a new engine. From some reports, the upcoming SUV will be available with the same powertrain that powers Altima sedan.

The upcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue is spied testing a couple of days ago. The last time that this model is caught has been wearing a full-body camo. However, this time, some parts are visible, and we can see that numerous updates will happen. As we already mentioned, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue will be wearing split headlights that are also visible on the all-new Nissan Juke model.

The iconic V-Motion grille sits horizontally, and the front is more dominated thanks to that. Generally, the previous model is still a beautiful SUV. The sloping roof looks subtle and elegant on the new model. On the back, the manufacturer added new horizontal LED taillights.

Interior Details

The all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue will introduce numerous interior upgrades. Unfortunately, the spy photos don’t reveal exact internal changes. However, some of the changes are clearly seen through the windows. The new larger infotainment touchscreen sits at the top of the center console as the full-digital instrument panel.

The dashboard will definitively look cleaner and the manufacturer will add more high-tech amenities that will include more techs and a long list of safety features.

New Engine is Happening Finally

The upcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue will most likely get the new engine that also powers the Altima sedan model. Furthermore, the current model is using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, the Rogue Hybrid version combines a 2.0-liter with the electric motor. Thanks to this combination, it delivers a total output of 176 hp. More importantly, the hybrid version is fuel-efficient and it provides 33 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

As we already mentioned, the manufacturer will use the Altima engine as the third powertrain option. That means another 2.5-liter could be in the offer. However, Altima’s four-cylinder powertrain generates 188 hp, and it is available with a CVT transmission.

The third-gen 2021 Nissan Rogue will be redesigned, and the manufacturer will use a more aggressive approach. Moreover, this will surely make a small jump in price. The current Rogue SUV starts at $24,000 and a new one will cost $25,000 or even higher.

Sport version that will also be available will cost $30,000 as the Rogue Hybrid. New Rogue will go on sale in the second half of 2020 as the 2021 model. Nissan’s best-selling SUV will compete in the same segment alongside the well-known models like Honda CR-VMazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape.
