The all-new redesigned 2021 Nissan Pathfinder is caught testing and according to the images, the upcoming model will look more attractive and it will introduce numerous changes. The exterior design will be more upscale and sharper if we compare it to the current model.

Also, the interior will get some modifications, and like before the Nissan Pathfinder will offer a roomy cabin that can accommodate seven passengers. The upcoming model will also ride on the same platform as before. Furthermore, thanks to the strong platform and powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 285 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque, this SUV can tow slightly over 6,000 pounds. The hybrid model is also confirmed and we can expect great output and way better consumption.

The exterior design will be updated according to the spy photos. However, the 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will keep its dimensions and shape. The front fascia will dominate thanks to enlarged V-Motion grille and LED headlights. We must add, that Nissan Rogue comes with the same V-Motion grille.

Besides camo that covers the body of this SUV, we can clearly see that the new model comes with reshaped headlights. As before, the dual-panel moonroof and roof rails will be in the offer as well. The sides of this SUV will be also attractive thanks to the new 18-inch alloy wheels. Whatsoever, on the upper trim, the customers will get motion tailgate and bigger 20-inch alloy wheels.

Cabin Changes

The cabin of the forthcoming 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will be updated, and we can expect more luxury inside. As we mentioned, the Pathfinder will continue to ride on the same platform. So, the interior dimension will be unchanged and we can expect the same roomy cabin. Like before, Pathfinder SUV is available with three rows of seats and rooms for seven passengers. The list of standard features will be long and the manufacturer will also introduce some optional amenities. Comfort is one of the best, especially on the upper trims. The new SUV will be available with four trims S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

The infotainment system of 8-inch, push-button ignition, rear parking sensors, 3-zone climate control, four USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, 6-speaker audio system and Rear Door Alert remains to be part of the standard equipment. The mid-size SUV will continue to deliver an impressive cargo space. Furthermore, behind the third row is 16 cubic feet and can be double folding the third row by 47.8. However, with both rows folded flat, the maximum cargo area is 79.8 cubic feet.

As before, the 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will continue to use the same 3.5-liter V6 engine under its hood. However, at this moment there is no info on what will be changed and how much outputs will be added. This engine under the current model produces 285 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque and is available with an Xtronic CVT transmission. Front-wheel-drive remains standard, while all-wheel-drive configuration is optional. Thanks to the strong platform and powerful engine this mid-size SUV can tow over 6,000 pounds.

Hybrid Engine

The upcoming Nissan Pathfinder will be also available with a hybrid system. According to the officials, this version will slightly improve the performances and it will provide a way better fuel economy than the V6 engine. However, to this date, the manufacturer didn’t reveal exact engine numbers.

Price and Release Date

The price of the new mid-size 2021 Nissan Pathfinder SUV from the latest update will start at $35,500. This is the price for the base model. As we already wrote, the new model will be available with four trim levels. The most equipped and expensive is Platinum trim which costs $52,000.

However, the Pathfinder Hybrid from some speculation may start at $40,000. All models above will be available in the middle of 2020. Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9, Chevrolet Traverse, Volkswagen Atlas, and Ford Explorer SUVs will compete with new Pathfinder.
