The Nissan X-Trail has always been known for its practical and cozy interior, attractive design, and good engines under its hood. As well, it is available for a relatively affordable price. And according to the latest news, the manufacturer is preparing the all-new and upgraded version of this model which should hit the market as the 2020 Nissan X-Trail. The newest X-Trail will arrive with a revised exterior design which will make it more handsome and dynamic. The interior will be upgraded with more quality materials and it will get the latest infotainment touchscreen as well. Furthermore, the X-Trail will also offer the latest ProPilot autonomous driving technology.

Engines and performances of the 2020 Nissan X-Trail

The all-new 2020 Nissan X-Trail will most likely return with the same engines as before. And there are three units to choose from which include petrol and diesel engines. So, the one is a 1.6-liter dCi diesel engine which is able to produce around 132 horses. The next is a 1.6-liter petrol unit with the output of 163 hp. Finally, the most powerful and popular unit is a 2.0-liter dCi diesel which has been introduced in 2016. This engine is able to generate 191 horsepower. Furthermore, the engines will be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. As well, it will be offered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The Nissan X-Trail has always been known for its muscular and bold exterior design. It features sharp edges all over the body, large wheel arches and nicely sculpted and elegant design of the hood. However, the upcoming 2020 Nissan X-Trail will feature all these elements, but they will be even more pronounced. The front fascia of the vehicle will be revised and will now look more dynamic and bolder. On the front end, we will notice a larger V-motion grille which now seems to be wider compared to the previous model. So, the X-Trail will look more powerful and more striking.

Furthermore, there are also new headlamps in a shape of a boomerang which give it more modern appearance. The fog lights are also modified and integrated into the bumper. They are no longer rounded but square. We will also notice revised front parking sensors which are no longer integrated into bumper but put out a bit.

Moving to the rear end of the vehicle, it has gotten more chrome details, modified parking sensors just like on the front end, and new LED taillights. There is also a new chrome trim above the doors. The new Nissan will be available with some new designs of the alloy wheels which will be offered in sizes of 17, 18, and 19 inches. Moreover, the X-Trail also comes with some new colors including Orange Pearl, Blue Pearl Metallic, Dark Brown Pearl, and Red Pearl.

Inside the cabin, the 2020 Nissan X-Trail will also be revised with more quality materials and some changes which will make it more functional. It will be available with two-row and three-row seating configuration. The seats will be upholstered in leather which will be more quality and nicer than before. As well, it will be available in two interior colors. So, as for the comfort and spaciousness, the X-Trail is well rated. Both front and rear seats will feature a heating function. The cargo space is also pretty good which makes it practical, especially for the families. The version with two rows of seats offers the cargo room of 19.9 cubic feet. The three-row model has the room of 15.7 cubic feet. Furthermore, the newest Nissan has the new steering wheel in a shape of “D” which gives it a sportier design.

Speaking of the equipment, the new 2020 Nissan X-Trail will feature an upgraded touchscreen for the infotainment system at the center of the dashboard which will also control navigation and other entertainment features. There is also a new Bose audio system which will feature eight speakers. Furthermore, the new Nissan X-Trail will arrive with ProPilot autonomous technology which provides a safer ride. Thanks to this new technology, it will be able to go on a single line driving on the highway and which is practical during the heavy traffic. It will also include an autonomous emergency braking, parking sensors, etc. The X-Trail will also get many other modern features such as HD radio, USB, Bluetooth, air conditioning, roof rails, front and rear parking sensors, and many other more.

Release date and price of the 2020 Nissan X-Trail

We don’t yet have the official information about the release date of the newest 2020 Nissan X-Trail model. Perhaps it could be sometime by the end of the next year. The price could get higher than the price of the current model which starts at around $26,300.
