The exterior of 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE remains to be attractive and recognized. The upcoming model will introduce vast improvements. Moreover, there will be better aerodynamically design and some changes will happen on the hood that looks more sportier.
Generally, the front fascia is more aggressive than before, thanks to SL-style grille and massive air intakes. On top of that, and thanks to an extended wheelbase, the legroom in the second row is a way better than before. With all seats folded, this model offers 73 cubic feet.
The newest GLE comes with a clean dashboard and highly-customizable multimedia system of 12.3-inch that can be operated by touchpad, touchscreen, gesture control, or voice control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both come as standard equipment. Optionally, one can get piano black leather seats, more chrome, front seat massage, and ionized air freshener.
2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Powertrain
Under the bonnet of 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE, there will be two powertrain options. The first engine and base engine powers the GLE 350 & GLE 350 4Matic models. This powertrain will use a reliable 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo that is capable of delivering 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft torque. This unit uses Mercedes’ 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and it offers smooth shifting.
The next one powertrain is under the GLE 450 model. This model consists of a 3.0-liter supercharged inline-6 and 48-volt electric motor. Thanks to this combination GLE 450 provides 362-hp and 369 lb-ft of torque and it uses the same 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as the first one. Acceleration is also suitable for such SUV and from 0-60, the Mercedes-Benz GLE runs in 5.5 seconds.
Release Date and Price
The upcoming 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE will be facelifted and according to the latest reports, it will be available to purchase this summer. As for the pricing, it isn’t yet available. According to some reports, it will be in the same range as the predecessor. The outgoing model starts at $53,000 and it beats SUVs such as the Audi Q7 and BMW X5. Stepping up to the GLE 450 4Matic price will jump to $61,000.
