2021 Honda HR-V to Get a Refreshed Styling

The all-new subcompact crossover 2021 Honda HR-V will hit markets in the following year. According to numerous reports, the upcoming model will get multiple changes outside and inside. Furthermore, the new SUV will get a more attractive look and better cabin, but can this be enough to compete with the rest of the SUVs in the same class nowadays? Definitely, yes. However, if the manufacturer wants to stay competitive, it must add more quality materials and make some changes under the hood.

HR-V is a subcompact crossover that only lacks in the engine department. Unfortunately, this model is offered with only one engine option. Whatsoever, most of its rivals have more than two engines.

2021 Honda HR-V Engine Specs

There is no official confirmation from Honda about what engine will be used under the new 2021 HR-V model. From some reports, the forthcoming model will continue to offer the same engine as before. If that is true, we can expect the same efficient 1.8-liter engine. This four-cylinder gasoline under the current model provides an output of 141 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque.

This engine is the only option under the current model. Furthermore, if Honda manufacturer means to be competitive on the market, then some new engines may happen. By the way, the 1.8-liter engine uses a 6-speed manual gearbox and optional CVT transmission. So, we can expect the same gearbox to be used on the new one. Like before, and on most mid-size SUVs front wheels system is standard, while the AWD is also available but as optional.
