The third generation of the Ford Escape has appeared back in 2013, and since then it hasn’t been changed significantly. During the years it has been improved in many segments, but there was nothing large in terms of design, engine, and interior. The 2018 model year has been upgraded with the new trim level called the SEL which adds large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, leather upholstery, and the power tailgate. As well, there are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. It the SE trim levels, there are standard heated front seats while the Titanium is now powered with 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine. On the other hand, the information about the newest 2019 Ford Escape has started to appear, and according to the reports, the 2019 version should basically be a carryover and no changes are expected.
So, the 2019 Escape will most likely arrive unchanged from the current model. And the only upgrades which might arrive are related to the equipment. So, the infotainment system might get some improvements but in the terms of styling, it will stay the same. As well, it will continue to be offered in several trim levels. Those are S, SE, SEL, and Titanium models.
2019 Ford Escape powertrain
The engines which power the current Escape will remain the same for the 2019 Ford Escape. There are three engines available. The Titanium model is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine which has the output of 245 horses and 275 pound-feet. With FWD, it is rated at 21/28 mpg and with AWD is 20/27 mpg. Furthermore, all the engines work with a 6-speed automatic.

Inside the cabin, the 2019 Ford Escape might get an upgraded infotainment system only. The base model is equipped with cruise control, cloth seats, audio system with six speakers, a 4.2-inch screen with Ford’s Sync infotainment system, a rearview camera, air conditioning, and power features.
