The new 2019 Jaguar E-Pace should soon go on sale with a handful of upgrades including the new entry-level petrol unit and an adaptive suspension for the buyers in Europe. Visually, the E-Pace shouldn’t differ much from the current model since it is still looking fresh and very attractive. Inside, we expect the same sleek and futuristic design and perhaps some more technology and upgraded safety systems.
Engines and performances of the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace
The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace will arrive with the same engine as before. However, it is also expected to get a new one. So far it can be confirmed the 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine. Offered in the S, SE, and First Edition models it produces 246 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and come standard with all-wheel drive configuration. As for the fuel economy, it gets 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
Furthermore, this same engine in the R-Dynamic S, and HSE trim levels will be able to deliver 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It will use the same transmission and drivetrain and will be rated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. It will be able to hit 60 mpg in around 6 seconds. On the other hand, the new E-Pace should also get a new engine and it is going to be a 4-cylinder Ingenium turbo petrol engine which will be able to make around 197 horses. This one will be capable to hit 60 mph in around 7.7 seconds.
Design of exterior and interior
The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace looks attractive and handsome as before and there is a familiar brand’s grille on the front and a pair of sleek headlamps. The whole body is well proportioned and looks sporty and sleek. Around back, there is a pair of exhaust outlets which give it a more aggressive look. The 17-inch wheels are standard but the carmaker also offers the larger 20-inch wheels.
Inside, the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace is quality and well designed and looks luxurious and futuristic. The space is very good and there is plenty of space for the rear passengers too. As well, the space for the storage is great. The cargo room measures 24.2 cubic feet. However, with the second row folded down, the Jaguar offers the room of more than 52 cubes.

The base model comes standard with cloth upholstery, 17-inch wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, LED headlamps, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. The S model will add leather seats, 18-inch wheels, parking sensors, and navigation. The SE model will include premium audio, a power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, and more safety features. The HSE R-Dynamic model will also get a head-up display, a motion-activated tailgate, 20-inch wheels, softer leather, and adjustable bolsters.
