The famous manufacturer will revive the full-size SUV Jeep’s Wagoneer nameplate next year. If you didn’t know, the Jeep has a plan to introduce both standard Wagoneer and bigger, plusher 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
According to the latest images, the new Grand Wagoneer has been spied testing with heavy camouflage gear. This SUV looks big and bold. Jeep’s traditional multi-slat grille is present and it dominates. Upmarket SUVs like Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, will finally get a real contender. Production of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will start at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Warren Truck Assembly plant in Warren, Michigan. The previous-generation Ram 1500 was built in the same plant and it will be now eventually swapped to the Jeep SUVs.
2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Spy Photos Review
As we mentioned, the new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was spied recently and we can see plenty of refreshments. Alongside this model, photographs also caught a standard version and both ones should be available to purchase around at the same time. The new model is built on the body-on-frame architecture also seen on the latest Ram pickups.
Jeep’s traditional multi-slat grille can also be seen through the camouflage gear as the shaped wheel arches. Wagoneer also features independent rear suspension and great design on the back. However, heavy camouflage covers the rest of the body.
First Look Inside
There is one shot available that provides a glimpse of the interior. Jeep is a manufacturer that produces high-quality cabins. We can see from the photos that the new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoner features a large infotainment screen in the center of the dash. Obviously, this is the same 12-inch infotainment display as in the latest Ram 1500 pickup truck.
Jeep will introduce a redesigned Grand Wagoneer with both 2- and 3-row options. So, expect the Wagoneer’s cabin to be spacious and with three rows of seats, providing space for seven or possibly eight occupants. The safety list of this SUV will be longer than before and we can expect an even better rating. According to some speculations, the new model will be available with the same features as the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Under the Hood
There is no exact information what will power this SUV. The upcoming 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is likely to be available with either a 3.6-liter V-6 mild-hybrid setup or a 5.7-liter V-8. A plug-in hybrid Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 might also come at some point.
According to many rumors, the Hellcat engine might provide excellent output. The Wagoneer siblings could also get the latest version of the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6, which delivers 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic should be standard across trims and buyers will likely be able to choose between rear- or 4-wheel drive.
Release Date and Cost
The new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was recently caught testing and is wearing a heavy camo. This SUV will provide unique and aggressive design. Besides, it will come with vast engine options. According to Jeep, the new Grand Wagoneer will arrive next year as a 2022 model. As for the price, it’s still early to discuss about it. Moreover, we are assuming that the new model will range from $33,000 to 35,000.
