2021 Toyota Venza Redesign, Video

The refreshed version of popular SUV 2021 Toyota Venza is coming. If you didn’t know, the upcoming version in Toyota lineup is slotted between compact RAV4 and the mid-size Highlander SUV.

Generally, the Venza is based on the Harrier model. Like the Harrier model, the Venza comes with an attractive and compact design that makes it competitive. Under the hood, it’s powered by a potent hybrid system that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine and three electric motors, which together develop 219 horsepower.

2021 Toyota Venza Facelift

The exterior of the 2021 Toyota Venza is sleek and modern. From every angle, this model looks fantastic. Front dominates with large lower spindle-shaped grille and Toyota’s familiar trapezoidal shape. The edges are rounded, giving this SUV a more elegant look than before. Interestingly, the manufacturer used integrated LED running lights that flank the smaller grill upper. This design we also saw on the Harrier model.

Looking Venza from the side, we noticed very sleek and thin wheel-arch extensions giving athleticism look. The rear is also attractive and Toyota added a thin strip of LED taillights topped with a new spoiler. Twin chrome exhaust tips complete Venzas look behind.

Roomy Cabin With Lots of Techs

According to Toyota’s statement, the cabin of the newest 2021 Venza is slightly roomier than the smaller RAV4. However, in reality, the Venza is slightly less spacious. The forthcoming model offers seats for five and it comes standard with cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver seat. Cargo capacity behind the rear seat is excellent and it can fit seven carry-on bags behind the back seat, while folded rear bench Venza can host 18 in total bags. Clearly, RAV4 is the winner in this department, with a total of 10 and 22.

Techs-wise, this SUV comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen or larger 12.3-inch display optionally on the XLE trim. No matter which infotainment is chosen, Venza offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa connectivity. On top of that, Venza is the first Toyota model that will offer the optional electrochromic panoramic sunroof. With the flip of a switch, the sunroof’s glass panels go from transparent to opaque. As you might know, the same system is also present on the Germans flagship model Mercedes-Benz SL-class.

Safety

We know that 2021 Toyota Venza is including a great suite of driver-assistance features as standard. This package includes standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

2021 Toyota Venza Powertrain

The upcoming 2021 Toyota Venza uses the same hybrid system as the Harrier SUV. This system is using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine and three electric motors. One of the electric motors powers the Venza’s rear wheels, while the gasoline engine and the other two motors work to spin the fronts. Thanks to that combination, the new Venza delivers 219 horsepower.

According to caranddriver website, this model comes with an all-wheel-drive system standard. Interestingly, with this powertrain, Venza can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6-seconds. The EPA hasn’t yet released, but we can expect a combined rate of around 36 mpg.
