The brand-new 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQB is the company’s latest crossover. It comes with an electric powertrain and boxy appearance. Mercedes will launch its new model in 2021. The upcoming EQB will ride on the same platform that underpins the current GLB compact SUV. We are still waiting for the official details. However, some details are already available.
There will be room for seven passengers. On top of that, we expect a very modern and premium interior design. Even the exterior looks impressive and futuristic. As for the powertrain, Mercedes promises around 300 miles of driving range. It looks like Mercedes isn’t stopping. The German manufacturer will release ten new models, which includes several sedans, crossovers, and SUVs.
2021 Mercedes-Benz EQB Styling, Dimension
The upcoming 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQB will be a luxury electric crossover. Merc still didn’t release official photos. However, some details are already familiar. It is true, new EQB will look very attractive and modern. However, we can’t credit this model for uniqueness. Mercedes wasn’t innovative at all. Most of the exterior features are borrowed from the rest of the company’s models. Literally, we can’t find a single unique detail.
New EQB will even share some styling cues with the arriving GLB model. On top of that, two models are even using the same architecture. It is an MFA2 platform that will underpin future models such as CLA and B-Class. The 2021 EQB will be 184 long and it comes with a 111-inch wheelbase. It comes with a boxy shape and very modern design.
Interior Details and Rumors
As for the interior, Mercedes is perfectly hiding all of its details. So far, we can confirm that this electric crossover will offer a seven-seat layout. Seven seats are available across the three rows. We don’t expect unique details from the inside. Just like the exterior, the interior of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQB will borrow plenty of features. Even the design shouldn’t be innovative at all.
However, if you don’t care, you’ll be happy with this crossover. Mercedes will deliver a premium crossover with a very modern and upscale cabin. On top of that, you can expect a long list of standard features. Furthermore, there will be at least three trim levels. The range-topping model will be very luxurious.

Even the powertrain details are yet to be confirmed. So far, we know on what architecture will new 2021 Mercedes EQB ride. Moreover, Merc isn’t releasing crossovers with low performances. Knowing that new EQB will surely deliver between 300 and 400 horses.
On top of that, customers don’t have to worry about mileage. Mercedes promised around 300 miles of driving range. The all-electric crossover will get an 8-speed automatic transmission or even an optional 10-speed gearbox. The AWD configuration will be in the offer too. Hopefully, we are about to get another astonishing crossover with great mileage and strong powertrain.
Cost and Production
The German automaker will launch its new electric crossover in the first quarter of 2021. The Mercedes EQB will look to rival small electric crossovers such as Kia e-Niro and Hyundai Kona Electric. On top of that, Volvo is launching an electric version of its XC40 model.
Even Lexus is working on the electric UX model. The price is still not available. However, 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQB will be a luxury crossover so don’t expect a price below $40,000.
