According to some speculations, the new CX-5 will get minor changes. This model is funky thanks to the front grille that uses chrome accents, taillights that looks great and strong bumpers at front and back.

Dimensionally, CX-5 is 179.1 inches long and 72.5 inches wide. Also, it comes with 8.2 inches of ground clearance and thanks to that, this model is ideal for all terrains. 17-inch alloy wheels will remain standard, while upper trims will bring more stylish and bigger ones.

The interior of the 2021 Mazda CX-5 is premium. This model offers a fantastic cabin design followed by great techs and high-quality materials. CX-5 provides one of the best interiors in the compact segment. There is room for five passengers in two rows. However, the cargo area is generous, and folding rear seats, this SUV provides 60 cubic feet of space. The new CX-5 like the last year will be available in Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and new Signature trim levels.

The least expensive sport trim features cloth-covered seats, keyless entry/ignition, a rearview camera, a 7-inch touch screen, AM/FM/HD radio, Bluetooth, and a 4-speaker setup. However, choosing the Signature or Grand Touring Reserve, customers will get a leather seating, 10-speaker Bose audio system, head-up display, heated steering wheel, and heated rear outboard seats.

The forthcoming 2021 Mazda CX-5 will be available with three powertrain options. The first and the base trim will ride on a 2.5-liter engine. This unit is standard on all trim levels, and this gasoline engine generates 187 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. The next one that comes optionally is a 2.2-liter diesel. This turbocharged powertrain produces 170 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque.

The last engine that also powers the Mazda CX-9 model is a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-4. Thie powertrain is capable of delivering an output of 250 horses and 310 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, with this engine, CX-5 SUV will be able to tow 3,500 pounds.

The newest 2021 Mazda CX is getting some refreshments for the next year. However, the starting price for the base trim level remains to be $26,500. Touring trim level that adds more features starts at $28,500, while Grand Touring is $34,000.

Signature model is the most expensive, and it will cost over $40,000. The next-gen CX-5 will be available for purchase sometime in the late 2020s. Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4 are the main competitors of this model.
