The forthcoming 2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo has been spied with numerous refreshments. However, we are not dealing with the redesign. Instead, mid-cycle updates are more about to happen. Trofeo is the range-topping trim level. It offers sportier appearance, more luxury and stronger performances.
The spied prototype looks like its predecessor. The shape and dimensions are intact. However, some parts are more than visible under the heavy camo. Maserati will deliver new exterior features and minor tweaks on the front fascia. Unfortunately, interior photos are not available yet. As for the performance, sticker at the rear window clearly suggests a 4.0-liter V8 engine and that is a good thing.
2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo Changes Are Minor
The changes on the new 2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo are minor. That includes updates on the exterior design. You should expect revised bumpers, front, and rear. Moreover, both headlights and taillights have been updated. It seems like the grille has been tweaked as well.
Trofeo trim level comes with a sportier stance and more aggressive bodywork than the regular Levante SUV. Some styling cues you can see in the current Quattroporte model will become available on the Trofeo model as well. Still, heavy camouflage perfectly hides the rest of the vehicle. More details will become available in the coming weeks.
Interior Details
Unfortunately, interior changes are not visible on this new batch of spy photos. However, the only notable upgrade that we could see is the new black cloth on the instrument panel and dashboard. New 2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo could gain a new interior color scheme. Moreover, we expect from the manufacturer to deliver a new digital instrument cluster and a new infotainment system.
Besides that, we can’t tell how the interior of the arriving Levante Trofeo will look like. Of course, you can count on numerous technology updates. That includes the latest driver-assistance features. Trofeo offers an impressive list of standard amenities so any addition will become available as standard.
2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo Engine Specs
Spied 2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo SUV was wearing a sticker on the windshield. Thanks to that, it is clear that the 4.0-liter V8 engine will power the new model. Current Trofeo is available with a 3.8-liter V8 that generates 590 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. However, Maserati opted for a larger displacement this time. There are three possible outcomes for the new Levante Trofeo model. The first one is that the new V8 will produce more than the current 590 hp.
The second outcome is that the new engine will produce around the same performance but Maserati needs to meet new emissions regulations. The third possibility and the most likely outcome is that the Maserati plans to separate GTS and Trofeo models. That means the GTS trim level will continue with 3.8-liter output and Trofeo will deliver more power through the new engine. After all, Trofeo is the range-topping trim level.
Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2021 Maserati Levante Trofeo will surely cost more than its predecessor. The reason for that is the new engine that will power this SUV. The current model starts at $171,000. You can expect a small jump in terms of price. Levante SUV will go on sale in the last quarter of 2020.
