The Cadillac’s first-ever all-electric vehicle has just been presented and it hits the market for the 2023 model year. Considering that this is a brand-new model, it’s hard to expect bigger changes for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, which will represent the second production year. However, the company already announced that there would be two additions for the next year, particularly for the AWD model. It will get new optional 22-inch wheels, while the currently-optional rear camera mirror will become part of the standard equipment. Other than that, things should remain pretty much the same.
That means that you may count on the same overall design, which offers a lot of interesting things. We like this all-electric crossover not just because of the very capable powertrain, but also because of the super-luxurious interior and super-smooth ride.
Considering that the updates will be minor, we expect that the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq won’t hit the market before the last quarter of 2023.
2024 Cadillac Lyriq Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will come with just one notable update. That will be the new set of wheels for the AWD model. We are talking about 22-inch Dynamic Split Spoke Reverse Rim alloy wheels with a Polished Gloss Black finish, which will be available. This set will come with all-season low-profile tires.
Other than that, things will remain the same. The styling will remain the same, characterized by a pretty futuristic design approach, which doesn’t have much in common with ICE models from this brand. Also, there is a bit of a sloping roof, which provides that coupe-like design.
What we particularly like about the new crossover is that, despite pretty good handling, the ride is very smooth. The suspension setup is great and absorbs road imperfections in a great fashion.
Interior
The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq interior will come without more important changes. The overall cabin design will definitely remain the same, characterized by a pretty stylish dashboard design, which combines futuristic and old-school design elements in a good way. Also, the build quality is excellent. The materials are fine, while the massive 33-inch screen is one of the highlights of this cabin. The left side of it serves as an instrument cluster, while the right side is reserved for the infotainment system.
The cabin is luxurious but also quite comfortable. The front seats are well-shaped and offer a high level of comfort, while the amount of space is also pretty impressive. The second row is also pretty generous and accommodates two adults or three kids with ease. When it comes to the cargo area, you may count on about 28 cubic feet behind the second row and 60 cubic feet of the total cargo space. Although an all-electric SUV, the Lyriq doesn’t feature cargo space at the front.

Other than the aforementioned novelties, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will continue in the same way. Therefore, the list of standard equipment should also remain largely the same. On the other hand, more ambitious drivers can opt for the AWD version, which comes with an additional electric motor at the front and features a total output of 500 horsepower.

The Lyriq is good for about 97 MPG equivalent in the city and 82 MPGe on the highway, which is quite typical for the segment, similar to models like Tesla Model Y and Mustang Mach-E. All versions come equipped with a 102-kWh battery package, which ensures around 312 miles of all-electric range, which is also pretty respectable for an all-electric crossover.
