However, the manufacturer will also present the new and larger battery that will from the rumors increase the range by 70 miles or a total 300 miles. According to the tests, this one will be able to run from 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds with the rear wheel drive and with the all-wheel-drive system in just 4.8 seconds. If one choose a model with AWD system the driving range of the car will drop to 280 miles.

With the release of the new Model Y, the manufacturer also adds its special Performance model. Thanks to the new dual-motor pack this futuristic SUV is able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

Price and Release Date

The new 2020 Tesla Model Y can be expected to be released sometime in 2020, it won’t arrive this year as some sites wrote. As for the price, it will be in the range of $40,000 for the base model. However, with the choice of a much larger battery pack, the price goes up to $50,000.
