2020 Lincoln Navigator: Interior, Price, Review

The carmaker is working on the all-new 2020 Lincoln Navigator, but at the moment we still don’t have the official information whether the new Lincoln will get some major changes. However, we assume that this time there won’t be any major changes applied since the Navigator is still competitive and looking fresh. Therefore, it could only get some upgrades in the technology department and perhaps some new optional packages. Under the hood, it Navigator will probably get the same engine as the current model. And there are no words about the hybrid option at the moment.

The new 2020 Lincoln Navigator will most likely return with the same engine which powers the current model. And there is one single option. It is a well-known 3.5-liter V-6 twin-turbocharged engine. It is able to develop 450 horses and the torque of 510 lb-ft. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and comes with rear-wheel drive system as standard. Of course, the all-wheel drive configuration will also be offered.

With the standard RWD configuration, this model is rated at 16 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined. The extended version Navigator L will get 16 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined. The all-wheel drive model is estimated to be 16 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined. The Lincoln Navigator will be able to tow up to 8,700 pounds.

The new 2020 Lincoln Navigator is a full-size SUV which is expected to return with the same design which has been recently refreshed with a more upright body and better-defined lines. The front end will wear the familiar large mesh grille. And there will be a pair of large headlights with dual LED accents beneath them. The rear end is dominated by the prominent LED taillights and the Lincoln badge written in large letters. The Navigator will ride on the large 22-inch wheels.

Design of the interior

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator is a full-size SUV which rides on the 122.5-inch wheelbase and it is 210 inches long. There is also an extended version called the Navigator L. It is 221.9 inches long and stands on the 131.6-inch wheelbase. So, it provides an excellent interior room and comes with three rows of seats. The front seats are highly comfortable and supportive even at all-day rides. The second-row captain’s chairs are also pretty good. And it is also available with a bench which increases the seating from 7 to 8 passengers. As for the third row, it is good but best for smaller adults and can place three occupants. It can also be folded down for more cargo space which measures 120.2 cubes on the standard model while the Navigator L offers the room of 120.2 cubic feet.

The power tailgate and a power-folding third row are standard in all the models. In the center of the dashboard, there is a large 10-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. There are also many controls on it which are easy to use and reach.

Equipment of the 2020 Lincoln Navigator

As before, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator will probably be offered in several trim levels. Those include the base Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black label models. The Premiere model will come standard with automatic climate control, power features, navigation, a digital instrument display, leather upholstery, a power tailgate, keyless ignition, second-row captain’s chairs, 20-inch wheels,10-inch touchscreen, with Ford Sync3 interface, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, audio system with 17 speakers, six USB ports, Bluetooth,and so on. The Select model will add cooled front seats, 22-inch wheels, power running boards, a wireless smartphone charging, and surround-view cameras.

Furthermore, the Reserve model will get a panoramic roof, a console between the second-row seats, and the Lincoln LED logo on the grille. A CD player, a cargo organizer, and Revel audio system with 20 speakers will be optional. It also comes with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, active park assist, and automatic high beams. The Black Label model will get 21-spoke 22-inch wheels, a CD player, audio system with 20 speakers, the safety package, the towing package, and a vintage-blue-and-white Yacht Club interior theme.

The airbags, stability control, and a rearview camera will be standard on all the trim levels. The surround-view camera is available on all the models except the Premiere edition.

Release date and price

We still don’t have the precise information about the arrival of the new 2020 Lincoln Navigator. However, we assume that it won’t before late 2019. The price is expected to stay close to the current which starts at around $72,500. And it goes up to roughly $98,100.
