The Escape represents Ford in the most competitive segment of the automotive market and it does this pretty well. It is a quite popular compact crossover, which has been around for a while but which has been updated last year. The last-years update was a typical mid-cycle refresh, which has brought a more attractive styling, along with some other changes. All that should make the current generation competitive for a few more years, so we expect the 2024 Ford Escape to be a typical carryover model, without more important changes.

Furthermore, the infotainment system is super intuitive, while the cargo area behind the rear seats offers respectable capacity.

2024 Ford Escape Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 Ford Escape should be a typical carryover model. We expect to see the same design, which received an update recently. The recent facelift brought some pretty nice novelties regarding styling, especially at the front. In that area, you can see new headlights, a bigger grille, a new bumper and other parts that make this SUV look more attractive than before. The next year’s model will continue in the same way, though there is always a chance for minor updates, such as new color options.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect didn’t change much with this update and it won’t before we see a complete overhaul. The Escape rides on a C2 platform and shares most of the parts with Focus. It offers good ride quality, which is smooth and comfortable but also with a decent level of athleticism.
Interior
The same thing is with the interior design – it will continue without bigger changes. We are about to see the same layout, which was recently updated with a massive infotainment screen and a few more novelties. Still, the dashboard still looks rather conventional, with lots of physical controls, which actually looks pretty refreshing these days.
The overall build quality is good, while we also like the Escape for its spacious and comfortable cabin. The front seats are well-shaped and offer good comfort, while the ergonomics are pretty good too. With the second row, you may count on enough space to accommodate a couple of adults pretty easily.
When it comes to the cargo area, this SUV offers around 37.5 cubic feet behind the second row, which is really good for the segment. On the other hand, the total cargo volume goes around 65 cubic feet, which is still pretty good but not as impressive.
Features
As we are talking about a typical carryover model, we are pretty sure that the 2024 Ford Escape will continue mostly in the same way as the current model. For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like an 8-inch infotainment screen, a six-speaker stereo, USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, a digital instrument cluster, smartphone integration etc.
Higher trim levels are equipped with the new 13.2-inch infotainment system, as well as with goodies like a panoramic sunroof, single- or dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, and remote start.

In terms of fuel economy, all powertrain options are pretty efficient. The base turbo-three returns up to 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, while the optional turbo four is good for about 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg for the highway. Both are decent ratings for the class.
Hybrid models are pretty impressive in terms of fuel efficiency. The base hybrid returns around 44 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, while the PHEV offers 41 mpg in a combined ride.
