The American`s manufacturer Buick has just shown us the new 2020 Buick Encore GX SUV that is a larger version of the popular Encore standard model. With its comparable size, the new GX version will be slotted between the Encore and Envision models.
There were rumors that the New Envision model can be replaced with the Encore GX, but this news comes out to be incorrect. Both models will be set at the market in China by the Buick Company. When it comes to the United States, buyers will have to wait until 2020 if they want to buy this compact crossover. Even it is characterized as a smaller type of crossover, Encore GX is still larger than Encore.
2020 Buick Encore GX Uses Gamma II-Platform
The forthcoming 2020 Buick Encore GX is an all-new crossover that looks stylish and attractive. However, if we compare this model with the base one, the new GX variant looks stronger than the regular Encore model. In the dimension section, it comes with the almost same size as the Jeep Compass model.
According to the available images, the upcoming crossover will get the company`s new design language. Thanks to that the GX will borrow some cues from the models Enclave and Regal. Also, it will ride on the same Gamma II-platform as the many of the SUVs of this manufacturer.
Interior Features and Cargo Space
The all-new model 2020 Buick Encore GX will get a premium interior. Its cabin will be modern and it will be crafted of high-quality materials. As we wrote earlier, the new GX model will be slightly longer than the standard model. Thanks to that, the upcoming GX version will get a spacious cabin. Also, it will get an additional 5 cubic feet of cargo space or a total of 54 cubic feet when rear seats are folded.
The list of the standard features is huge. The new model has almost the same features as on the Encore model. The highlights of the offer will be a new head-up display that looks awesome and better than in the base model.

2020 Buick Encore GX Engine Specs
As we already wrote, the newest 2020 Buick Encore GX is larger than the base Encore model and it will probably be available with a larger engine. The base Encore is a compact SUV that comes with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that has an output of 138 HP and 148 lb-ft of torque.
According to the latest news, the much bigger GX variant will get a stronger 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. From the same news, this engine will be able to produce 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and it will be connected to the 9-speed automatic transmission. The same engine is lying under the hood of the Cadillac XT4 model.
Release Date and Price
The powerful small crossover will be available in the United States sometime in 2020. We can expect it in the first half of the next year. The new SUV will be built in the same plant as the standard Encore model.
However, at this moment there are no available price details. From some rumors and predictions, the new GX version will cost slightly higher than the standard Encore model. When releases, the new GX version will compete with many SUVs on the market.
