The popular German`s manufacturer is set to expand its SUV line with a new crossover that will be positioned below the Q2 model. According to the latest info, Audi will make a new model called 2020 Audi Q1.
The upcoming crossover will be the latest member of the MQB family. So, we can expect an attractive design and even more techs. Dimensionally, the Audi Q1 SUV will be slated between Q2 and Q3 models and we can expect it to arrive before the end of 2020. It will also use some cues from the newest Audi A1 model.
2020 Audi Q1 MQB platform
From the latest rendering photos, the newest 2020 Audi Q1 looks awesome. As we already said, this SUV is on the popular Volkswagen Group’s MQB architecture that is also used on the latest generation Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza models.
Furthermore, as we see from the image, the new grille is installed and we can see many similarities with the Audi A1 model. However, if you need a bigger SUV that offers more power and more aggressive look, wait for the Q5 or Q3 versions. Both models will be available at the same time as the Q1.
Q1 To Borrows Some Techs From The A1 Model
As we already wrote, the all-new 2020 Audi Q1 will be built on the same platform as the Polo model. The popular Volkswagen Group’s MQB architecture will allow decent space inside. So, don`t expect that this small model offers rooms like Q3 or Q5 models.
With two rows of seats, the Q1 will be a crossover that can accommodate five passengers. Whatsoever, we can expect that Q1 borrows some techs from the A1 model. The attractive infotainment system and lots of high-quality materials are expected to be inside.
2020 Audi Q1 Under the Hood
The all-new 2020 Audi Q1 crossover SUV will follow the new generations of the engine. According to some rumors, the forthcoming SUV will get under the hood few engine options. Thanks to the Volkswagen new MQB platform, this model will be offered with new gasoline and diesel engines.
The first engine from the rumors will be a three-cylinder 1,0 turbocharged engine. However, the exact output numbers are unknown. The next ones according to the same source will be diesel 1,5 liter and 1,6-liter.
Hybrid Version
The manufacturer may also offer one hybrid and one all-electric model. Front wheel drive system will be offered as a standard, while the 4X4 drive wheel system s an optional. The smallest SUV in Audi`s line 2020 Q1 from some report may be presented at the end of this year. However, for sure, we can expect the final version to be in the market sometime in 2020.
