The 2019 Suzuki Vitara will soon enter the market with a number of changes. First of all, it will be slightly revised with some new design cues which will mostly be visible on the front end. Inside the cabin, the Vitara will get an upgraded dashboard and a new instrument cluster. Furthermore, the manufacturer will now offer it with some new engines which will all be fuel efficient. As well, the safety will be significantly improved with more safety systems on the higher trim levels.
Engines and performances of the new 2019 Suzuki Vitara
The upcoming 2019 Suzuki Vitara will come with several types of engines. However, the previous 1.6-liter diesel engine will no longer be available in the United States, but some market will offer it too. And the front-wheel drive system will be standard while the AWD will be available as an option. The manual gearbox is also standard.
On the other hand, the Vitara will now offer several petrol units and because it is a lightweight vehicle, the engines will be really efficient. So, the base is going to be a new 1.0-liter turbo engine which will be able to make 111 horses. Furthermore, the 1.4-liter turbo powertrain will return also and it will be capable of making 140 hp and the AWD will be available.
The exterior and interior design
The new 2019 Suzuki Vitara will come with a range of visual changes which at first glance seem no so significant. However, when we take a closer look, we will notice a new front end which will now get a revised radiator grille with six bars and more chrome trim. There will also be a more pronounced bumper, new LED daytime running lights, and fog lights. The changes on the rear end are smaller, and we will notice new LED lighting on the taillights. Furthermore, the new Vitara will now offer two new exterior colors and some new designs of the wheels.
As for the interior, the 2019 Suzuki Vitara will come with more quality materials on the dashboard and the instrument cluster will feature a central color display between the dials. Like before, it will come with two rows of seats and will be able to place up to five passengers. Precisely, the second row can place three kids or two adults comfortably.
Speaking of the equipment, all the models will come with USB, Bluetooth, air conditioning, electric windows, cruise control, and so on. The higher trim levels will add a 7.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, a rearview camera, navigation, keyless entry and start, suede seats, etc. On the other hand, the 2019 Suzuki Vitara will now get more safety features. Those are lane departure warning, auto braking, traffic sign recognition, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assistance. And these features will be standard on the higher trim levels.
Release date and price
The new 2019 Suzuki Vitara goes on sale in the following months. The pricing is not yet available but it will most likely stay close to the current.
