The all-new 2019 Nissan X-Trail should soon be presented to the world with a new, sharper and bolder look, new designs of the wheels, and a few more exterior colors. Inside the cabin, the X-Trail will be more quality, more functional, and better looking. Furthermore, under the hood, we can expect the same engine as in its forerunner, and there will be three units available. As well, the upcoming Nissan will get a new ProPilot autonomous technology which will provide a safer ride.
2019 Nissan X-Trail powertrain and performance
The 2019 Nissan X-Trail will return with several types of engines and those are the same options which are found in its forerunner. So, the one option is going to be a 1.6-liter diesel unit which will be able to make 132 horsepower. There will also be a 1.6-liter petrol powerplant which will be able to generate 163 horsepower. The strongest unit will be a 2.0-liter diesel unit. This one will have the output of 191 horsepower. The engines will be coupled to 6-speed manual gearbox but a continuously variable transmission will also be available. Furthermore, the X-Trail will come with front-wheel and all-wheel drive layouts.
The design of exterior and interior
The X-Trail is a nice-looking SUV known for its sharp and bold styling. However, the 2019 Nissan X-Trail will get even more muscular and sharper appearance. The front end will now look bolder and will get the same V-Motion grille which will be slightly larger. There will also be the familiar headlamps in the shape of a boomerang and a revised bumper with integrated fog lights which are feature a square shape. The front parking sensors are also new and more pronounced. The rear end will feature more chrome trim and new LED taillights. The X-Trail will be offered with several designs of the wheels which will be available in sizes from 17- to 19 inches. As well, we can expect some new exterior colors too.
The cabin of the 2019 Nissan X-Trail is now more modern and quality with new materials. As before, it will come with a two-row and three-row configurations and the seats will be covered in quality leather. We will also notice a new steering wheel which will give it a sportier look. There will also be new, upgraded touchscreen for the infotainment system. Speaking of the cargo, it will have the room of 19.9 cubes with two rows f seats. The model with three rows will offer a slightly smaller room of 15.7 cubic feet.
Furthermore, the new Nissan will now offer a new ProPilot autonomous technology, parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, and many other features. Some of the equipment offered will be Bluetooth, USB, air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, HD radio etc. The new Bose audio system with 8 speakers and navigation will also be available.
Release date and price
It is not yet confirmed but the 2019 Nissan X-Trail might arrive in the middle of next year. Its price is expected to begin at around $26,000.
