The QX60 has been presented in 2012 and it has quickly become very popular among families who are looking for a spacious, reliable, and luxurious SUV. And at the New York International Auto Show, the carmaker has revealed its all-new 2019 Infiniti QX60 Limited which has brought a handful of exterior and interior upgrades.
2019 Infiniti QX60 types of engines and horsepower
The 2019 Infiniti QX60 will come back to the market with two types of engines and there is one traditional and one hybrid engine.
So, the base is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine which is able to make 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The engine is coupled to a continuously variable transmission and comes with a choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive system. The front-wheel drive system gets 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Linked to an all-wheel drive layout, it is rated at 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The towing capacity of this engine is 5,000 pounds.
The hybrid powertrain will combine a 2.5-liter inline-4 supercharged engine and an electric motor of 15 kWh. The total output of this engine is 250 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. It will also work with a continuously variable transmission. As well, it will be available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive systems. As for the fuel economy, the FWD model is estimated to be 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive variant will get 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. This hybrid engine will be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds.
2019 Infiniti QX60 design of the exterior
As for the external appearance, the 2019 Infiniti QX60 will return with the same styling as the current version. However, the carmaker has introduced the all-new Limited trim level for 2019 which will slightly differ from the standard model.
So, the Infiniti QX60 will keep the same sleek and rounded design with the brand’s familiar design of the grille which is adorned with chrome details and headlamps. Looking from the profile, the Infiniti QX60 features a slightly sloping roofline which doesn’t reduce the interior space.
On the other hand, the new QX60 Limited model will get a slightly revised exterior styling. So, the Limited version will get the darker details all over the body. On the front fascia, we will notice more dark chrome accents on the grille and around fog lights and door moldings. The carmaker has added more dark details to the roof rails and cross bars. As well, the bumper will feature some glossy black touches. Furthermore, the vehicle will get a unique badging, the LIMITED. However, what we might see as the most noticeable change is the new wheels of 20-inches which will have a unique design and dark color. They will come with 235/55R20 all-season tires.
The interior design of the 2019 Infiniti QX60
The QX60 is a perfect choice for families because of its spacious, comfortable, and quality interior. It has three rows of seats among which the first and the second-row seats are the best. The third row is the best for children but also for smaller adults. As well, they are easy to access. The QX60 comes with leather upholstery, even in the base trim. Furthermore, the Infiniti offers the cargo room of 15.8 cubic feet with all seats up. However, with the second and the third row folded down, there are 76.5 cubic feet for cargo.
On the other hand, the 2019 Infiniti QX60 will now be available with a Limited model which will get some upgrades inside the cabin. So, the new QX60 will receive some nice dark silver wood details and black accents. The seats will be upholstered in semi-aniline leather in color of stone with contrast stitching. Moreover, the Limited model will get unique floor mats and new cargo mat.
2019 Infiniti QX60 equipment
As for the equipment, the base features include keyless ignition, a rearview camera, power liftgate, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, Bluetooth, an 8.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment, 18-inch wheels, and a moonroof. There will also be a Premium package which will add remote start, memory seats, a Bose stereo with 13 speakers, and heated steering wheel.
The Premium Plus package will include a surround-view camera and navigation. Furthermore, a driver assistance package will come with blind-spot monitors, rear automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. A rear-seat entertainment package will be optional and will add two 8.0-inch touchscreens for the second-row passengers.
Moreover, a deluxe package will bring 20-inch wheels, active lane control, automatic high beams, upgraded Bose stereo with 15 speakers, automatic emergency braking, power-adjustable third row, forward collision warning, and so on.
Release date and price
The 2019 Infiniti QX60 should go on sale later this year. The starting price should remain similar. And it begins at $44,000 while the price of the Limited model is not yet known.
