2019 Hyundai Tucson: Interior, Price, Redesign, Colors

The all-new 2019 Hyundai Tucson is set to go on sale this fall with some interesting changes and upgrades. On the engine front, the Tucson will no longer feature a turbo engine. It will come only with a 6-speed automatic for both units. Its exterior styling will be updated with revised front and rear fascias while the interior will be majorly refreshed. In the terms of technology, the Hyundai Tucson will be upgraded with the latest infotainment and safety systems.

Engines and performances

The 2019 Hyundai Tucson will enter the market with some changes under its hood. However, the base engine will remain a 2.0-liter inline-4 which can deliver 164 horses and 151 pound-feet of torque. The SEL, Sport, and Limited trim levels will use the same 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. However, this time it is going to be a non-turbo unit. This engine will be able to generate 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Furthermore, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will no longer be available. And both engines will be coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive system will remain standard while the all-wheel drive system will be optional as before.

As in previous models, the new 2019 Hyundai Tucson will get some similar design tweaks seen on the larger Santa Fe model. However, compared to the 2018 model year, the 2019 Hyundai Tucson will be revised with some new elements which will be visible on both front and rear fascias. So, the front end will now get a new cascading grille design, and reshaped headlamps. As well, the lower fascia will also be revised with new fog lights. Moving to the rear end of the vehicle, we will notice restyled taillights and some minor design tweaks. Furthermore, depending on a trim level, the new Tucson will be offered with a new design of the alloy wheels which will be offered in sizes of 17-, 18-, and 19-inch.

As far as the interior is concerned, although the 2019 Hyundai Tucson has gotten a mid-cycle refresh, its interior will get some major upgrades. First of all, the dashboard will get a similar touchscreen as in the new Kona, Elantra GT, and Santa Fe models. The instrument cluster will get a more conventional design with two analog gauges and a smaller screen between them. Furthermore, the buttons on the center console will be rearranged because of the introduction of an electronic parking brake which now comes standard in all trim levels. Moreover, the leather seats will be redesigned too so as the air vents.

Equipment of the 2019 Hyundai Tucson

All the 2019 Hyundai Tucsons will be equipped with forward collision warning, Bluetooth, power features, a rearview camera, a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment, lane keeping assist, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking. The options will include a rear-seat USB port, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention warning, and so on.

The 2019 Hyundai Tucson will go on sale this fall. The price is not yet revealed but we don’t expect some major changes.
