The Ford automaker has confirmed the production of its well-known wagon-like crossover, the 2019 Ford Flex. This newest version won’t get any radical changes in any front and it might represent the last model year since according to the latest news, the carmaker might discontinue it in 2020. However, nothing is yet official. So, the 2019 Ford Flex will arrive with its familiar retro and boxy design, excellent interior space, and a host of advanced standard and optional equipment.

Design of exterior

The Ford Flex features a unique exterior design which is recognized from the instant. It is a three-row crossover with wagon-like proportions, long-wheelbase body, and retro design. The whole body looks boxy and angular with clean lines. Thanks to its design which you either like it or not, the Flex provides excellent ground clearance. The front fascia looks very distinctive and it reminds us of a large USB port. The Limited trim level will come standard with a power tailgate while it will be optional on SEL models. The base model is equipped with standard 17-inch wheels while the higher trim levels ride on either 18- or 19-inch wheels.

The interior design of the 2019 Ford Flex

Stepping into the cabin, the 2019 Ford Flex delivers a very spacious interior with standard three-row seating configuration. It can carry up to seven passengers who will enjoy very comfortable seats with soft bolsters and headrests. The first and the second rows of seats provide an excellent room with plenty of shoulder and knee room even for taller passengers. The third row doesn’t look as nice as the first and the second but it also delivers sufficient space. As well, the third row can split and fold. In the higher trim levels, the standard second-row bench can be replaced with a pair of bucket seats.

Furthermore, the access to the third row is very easy. The base model comes with cloth upholstery while the higher trim levels will receive leather. Behind the third row, the Flex has the cargo room of 20 cubic feet. However, with the second and third rows of seats folded down, the cargo space increases to 83 cubic feet.
