In the following months, the new 2019 Ford Everest will go on sale with upgrades in almost every front. First of all, its exterior design will be revised with a new grille treatment, new headlights, and the larger 20-inch alloy wheels for the Titanium models. The interior will get a new color scheme and this time, the Everest will offer more safety features. As for the engine, there will be one standard and one optional unit.
Engine and performance of the 2019 Ford Everest
Under the hood of the 2019 Ford Everest will be placed two types of engines among which the one is all-new. So, the entry-level Ambiente and Trend models will come standard with a 3.2-liter 5-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which will work with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This unit will be able to make 192 horses and the torque of 347 pound-feet. Furthermore, there will also be a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-turbo engine which will be optional o the Trend model and standard on the Titanium trim level. It will be capable of making 211 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, the Everest will be available with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive systems. The manufacturer has also improved its suspension for better handling and better ride quality.
The exterior and interior design of the 2019 Ford Everest
When it comes to exterior design, the new 2019 Ford Everest will come with some changes this time, which will mostly be visible on the front fascia. So, the first thing we will notice is a revised grille and new HID headlamps with auto-leveling on the Trend model. It will also get the new LED daytime running lights and an electric tailgate. Furthermore, the Titanium models will now get the new 20-inch alloy wheels. However, the overall shape and dimensions will remain the same and there was no need to change it since it is still good looking.
Inside the cabin, the 2019 Ford Everest will get more soft-touch surfaces and the new ebony dark color scheme. As before, the Everest will be available with two-row and three-row seating configuration. The first and the second rows of seats are very spacious and comfortable and provide good support. On the other hand, the third row is a bit tight and it is the most suitable for children. The cargo space is also good and can be increased by folding down the third row.
Furthermore, the Ambiente model will feature an 8.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, audio system with 10 speakers, DAB+ digital radio, a proximity key fob and starter button, a laminated acoustic windscreen, and so on. The Trend model will get an electric tailgate, LED DRLs, AEB, HID headlights, leather seats, and traffic sign recognition. The Titanium model will add 20-inch alloy wheels, heated leather seats, digital instrument cluster, large panoramic sunroof, and a revised suspension while the 18-inch wheels will also be available.
